Who
are we and what are the ANIL's goals?
LANIL / Agence Nationale
pour lInformation sur le Logement, the National Housing
Information Board, is a non-profit organisation jointly managed by
the Housing Ministry, the local governments, representatives of the
housing and loan institutions and consumer associations.
Most
of the counties (french « départements ») already
have an ADIL / Agence Départementale
dInformation sur le Logement.
ADIL
makes information on housing available to the public, free of charge
on any aspects, financial, legal or other:
- tailormade
mortgage plan
- legal,
financial and tax advice
- property
and other taxes
- housing
benefits
- contract
law
- improvment
grants
- building
liabilities
- building
insurance
- procedure
for obtaining council houses
- planning
permission and regulations
- owners
and tenants rights
- co-ownership
- relations
with associated professions

ADIL
is a clearing house for information on newly-built properties and
plots for sale and rent.
ANIL and ADIL seek and collate feedback and carry out surveys on housing
matters especially housing policies and evolution of the market.
The
ANIL/ADIL network already has a workforce of about 480 mostly legal
advisers. It has given advice to 1.000.498 people in 2005.

On
a national level, ANIL helps to create a branch in each county, endorse
them and supply them with documentation, training and promotion.
Funds are provided by county councils, the Ministry of Housing, organisations
which collect company contributions to housing, Council Housing, social
funds and various professional bodies.
